●About METALART Group
METALART Group celebrated the 100th anniversary of its foundation in 2016. With an integrated manufacturing system, from die design and forging (hot and cold forging) to machining, METALART Group makes effective use of original technologies it has developed during its long history, to manufacture products for a wide range of industries. These include automobiles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery and ships. The company has subsidiary, METALFORGE CORPORATION. It is engaged mostly in the deployment of hammer-forged products. The Group also has the subsidiary PT. METALART ASTRA INDONESIA, as an overseas business site in Indonesia.
The Group makes every effort to be a business group beloved of many people in society, by trying to manufacture products that satisfy customers both at home and abroad.

Corporate History

  • May 1916

    Goto Drop Forging was founded at 3-chome, Yoshino, Konohana-ku, Osaka City.

  • August 1943

    Goto Drop Forging Co., Ltd. was established. Yasumoto Goto was appointed as C.E.O.

  • November 1962

    The company was listed in the second section of the Osaka Stock Exchange.

  • June 1964

    Shiga Plant was newly established in Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture (current location).

  • December 1967

    Ohmi Seiko Co., Ltd. was established as a plant for the machining and assembly of undercarriages for construction machinery.
    Nozato Plant and Hukumachi Plant were combined into Shiga Plant.

  • June 1972

    Osaka Plant was completely integrated into Shiga Plant.

  • June 1981

    Sanemu Industry Co., Ltd. was established as a plant for the machining of automobile parts.

  • December 1987

    The 2000 ton automatic press (Automatic Press No. 1) was introduced.

  • October 1991

    The trade name of the company was changed to METALART CORPORATION.

  • July 1992

    The trade name “Ohmi Seiko Co., Ltd.” was changed to METALTEX CORPORATION.
    The trade name “Sanemu Industry Co., Ltd.” was changed to MetalMac Corporation.

  • March 1993

    METALFORGE CORPORATION was established in Higashiusuki-gun, Miyazaki Prefecture and hammer forging machines was transferred from the head plant.

  • June 1997

    METALTEX CORPORATION merged with MetalMac Corporation.

  • July 1999

    The company acquired international standard certification ISO9001 for its quality management system.

  • April 2002

    The company acquired international standard certification ISO14001 for its environmental management system.

  • August 2005

    Operation of a new plant for machining and assembly of undercarriages for construction machinery started (Banba Plant of METALTEX CORPORATION).

  • December 2005

    Operation of a new plant for precise forging started (Banba Plant).

  • March 2008

    Operation of a new plant for the machining of finished product automotive CVT sheaves started (Minakuchi Plant of METALTEX CORPORATION).

  • January 2013

    Operation of a new plant for the machining of finished product automotive manual transmission gears started (Kyushu Plant of METALTEX CORPORATION).

  • February 2015

    Operation of PT.METALART ASTRA INDONESIA started.

  • May 2016

    The company celebrated the 100th anniversary of its foundation.
